How is a diesel generator manufactured? What is its working principle?
Classification:
The first question when choosing a diesel generator is the size of the load it will provide, as well as the amount of operating load (KW) and starting load (KVAr). What type of load will be provided? Is the load a stable load or an intermittent switching load? This is called on-site load diesel generator selection. The second issue is whether the generator will operate as a backup power source or as the primary power source. The third question is how long can a diesel generator last? In other words, should we choose to use heavy-duty diesel generators that have been in use for decades or just a few years. The installation location and environmental conditions of the generator set. Is there a noise limit? Is there a space restriction? What voltage and frequency will this generator generate? All these considerations will affect the final decision on which type of diesel generator to choose. In addition, when choosing a generator, it is necessary to consider the KW rating of the generator set, how it will be installed, what control system will be installed, protection level, cooling system, and noise reduction function Wait.
Power
As part of the generator set configuration process, the following questions need to be answered: What is the KW rating of the generator set, and what is its reactive power capacity to withstand transient loads. The selection process always involves selecting the on-site load and defining the total operating load in KW and the starting load in KVA, and then applying other on-site load standards such as maximum allowable voltage drop, load factor, and future expansion to calculate the generator. It should be emphasized here that the power factor is controlled by the load, and when the power factor decreases, it will affect the generator by pulling more current. A load with high starting KVA only has a low starting power factor. When determining the size of the generator set, it is recommended to always limit the starting KVA of the load by using a lower voltage starting method, or if this is not possible, use sorting. This is switching between large startup KVA loads in order of 15 to 30 second intervals, rather than switching together.
Design
After determining the power of the diesel generator and configuring all necessary auxiliary systems and controls, the next step is how to achieve this? What are the different devices and components that together make up a generator set, and how can they be combined into a system to provide the required generator set with predefined specifications. This is called the design process. Some manufacturers have designed partial or complete generator support systems, such as slide rail bases, control panels, circuit breaker panels, exhaust systems, fuel tanks, weather protection covers, etc. These manufacturers should have engineering design offices and production workshop floor drawings and material lists. They should have quality control as an after-sales service system. The design includes electrical control schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel and switchgear overall layout diagrams, component layout diagrams, single line diagrams, wire and cable schedules, controller setup files, pry base production drawings, generator set overall layout diagrams, radiator and piping layout diagrams, generator set housing diagrams, generator set trailer diagrams, and many other detailed drawings that the manufacturer or its subcontractors will use for manufacturing and/or installation purposes. We are one of the world's best diesel generator manufacturers, capable of designing, manufacturing, and producing various types of modern diesel generator sets for different industries and customers to meet their daily electricity needs.
